Are diesel generator fumes dangerous?

Are diesel generator fumes dangerous?

Breathing in diesel fumes can affect your health, and exposure to the fumes can cause irritation of your eyes or respiratory tract. There is some evidence that repeated exposure to diesel fumes over a period of about 20 years may increase the risk of lung cancer.

Is the exhaust gasket cracked on my F350 truck?

I had the same issue with my 2011 F350 after a few years of driving, about 40K miles I’m thinking. Took it to the dealer and they found a leaking exhaust manifold gasket. Said if I had left it alone it would probably have resulted in a cracked manifold. Repair was covered under warranty. Sold that truck and have a 2018 F350 on order.

What does the exhaust smell like in a diesel car?

This is my first diesel and this summer the nice smell of diesel fuel was great, however, now that it is getting cold it is blowing a blue exhaust color and smells more like a burning smell rather than the nice rich fuel smell. I am referring to the exhaust out the rear pipe, not so much in the cab (although it is there as well).

Why do I get exhaust fumes in my cab?

I sometimes get exhaust fumes in the cab when I sit parked and idling. I have found that if I put the HVAC on recirculating it stops, so obviously, on mine at least, the issue is exhaust being sucked into the outside air inlet. Click to expand… Hey everybody….I guess I need to cearify the smell.

Is there a recall on diesel engine exhaust?

An EPA rep in Michigan told me they need at least 25 complaints before a recall is issued. The problem was fixed on later models. There’s only a TSB 11-6-22 Issued on June 27, 2011 regarding this problem. The problem is a tube to exhaust pipe connection. The smell comes from it being totally disconnected. It will come back off eventually.
