What kind of compression does a frieghtliner m2 have?
You are on TDC compression cylinder 6. You can adjust intake 3,5,6 and exhaust 2,4,6. Then rotate 360 degrees and then you will be on number 1 TDC compression. Or you can rotate 360 now and do 1,2,4 intake and 1,3,5 exhaust.
What happens when a cat C7 engine fails?
When this happens, it damages the injectors. Basically there is what is called a deflector sheild in the high pressure pump that fails and sends metal into the injectors through the oil. It’s kinda a known problem on C7 engines. I am sorry.
What’s the lock nut on a frieghtliner m2?
The lock nut is torqued to 18. One more thing, it’s possible you may have a worn low camshaft lobe. I have seen this before. Sometimes the cam followers can fail and wear into the cam lobe. When this happens, the engine can misfire and smoke.

What was the problem with the Caterpillar CAT C7 engine?
The ACERT Technology had a lot of problems for Caterpillar, first with the CAT C7 but more so later on with the CAT 13 and CAT 15 engines. The technology was really the first generation emissions technology for heavy duty diesel engines. The ACERT technology was prone to numerous regeneration issues. Drivers reported low power and low fuel economy.
