Why is my Def warning message saying Poor exhaust fluid quality?
DEF fluid can degrade over time. This message indicates the quality of the DEF fluid is poor. What needed to be done is the DEF tank drained completly to remove the poor quality DEF fluid, then new DEF fluid put in and then run the DEF quality test to force the system to run a quality test.

Good luck, hope all is well with your truck. DEF quality is more tightly controlled than the milk we drink, almost to the point of being ridiculous. For autos is has to be 32% urea, not more, not less and anyone who sells DEF has to conform to a very tough standard.
