Not sure its the “hemi tick” that everyone worries about. Yours might be the same….I think there is some normal amount of ticking even at idle, the actual hemi tick to worry about is like a deeper tone than that, almost a knock. As far as the louder knock at startup, does it happen to follow this pattern?
