Why does my Chevy Duramax not start up?
It starts right up like it should after i change the filter. After some miles and driving for at least 30 mins it wont start up. Seems like longer you drive the harder it is to start if it doesnt fully cool down! The dealer looked at the fuel filter head unit and said it was fine.
Why is my fuel filter stuck on my Duramax?
I have replace the fuel filter twice, once with an after-market and now back to the OEM filter. I have replace the water sensor at the bottom of the fuel filter. I have been told that it might be my fuel pump which has a one-way flow valve that has become stuck allowing fuel to flow back to the tank. I’m out of ideas.
Do you need adii for GMC Duramax 06?
You don’t have to get a ADII because the 06 doesnt have the injector issues the LB7’s do. You could get a liftpump without filters, like the Kennedy pump, or Holley pump, or Raptor… Stay away from PPE their pump is junk.
Why does my GMC Duramax die in the morning?
It starts decent during the day but in the morning it will barely start run for 1 second and completely die and wont start back up. I prime it and bleed it and then it will start. It does have air bubbles in the fuel line when i do bleed it.
How to stop a Duramax truck from losing Prime?
Tried running fuel line from injection pump to tank of diesel.. No go Pressurized the fuel tank primed it and tried starting.. Nothing Pressurized fuel tank sprayed soap water on lines.. No leaks found Tried having someone prime while I cranked. Truck will run off starting fluid through airbox but dies when you stop spraying.
Are there any problems with the LLY Duramax?
In terms of LLY injector problems, GM had sorted out the internal failures with the 2004 ½ redesign, but the LLY Duramax would occasionally exhibit a trouble code for the injectors, but in most cases it turned out to be an issue with the injector harness rubbing through and causing a short or open in the wiring.
