Why does climate control only work on high speed?

Why does climate control only work on high speed?

There aren’t separate relays to mode control and the modes are switched by the climate control in the dashboard. If the fan is working only on high speed, it is probably a shorted blower motor resistor. The resistor is responsible for changing the voltage to the blower motor.

Where is the climate control on a Buick?

The resistor can be found next to the blower motor below the right side dash near the glove-box. It is held by two screws and fits into a slot in the blower case close to the blower motor. Why does the Buick climate control blow warm while driving but work fine while not being driven?

What do you need to know about your climate control?

To check this, you need AC gauges, an infra-red thermometer and a scale to weigh the Freon by the ounce. AC systems are sensitive to the amount of Freon. Insufficient Freon doesn’t allow the system to cool properly while excess can lock up the compressor.

What’s the problem with dual heat control in a Chevy Silverado?

I have dual heat control for driver and passenger. Problem is my side blows heat all the time regardless of setting. You can turn the temperature on both to coolest setting. You reach across and feel the air coming from the vent on the passenger side its cool. The drivers side is screaming hot.

Why does my dual zone heater go cold?

Dual zone climate control module only get heat at the highest setting. when you set it to a lower setting by 1 degree it goes cold. I changed the module and one actuator. The other one on top is moving for the different direction of air flow. (is there only two?)

Why does the passenger side blow the most heat?

Now the dials all seem to work appropriately, but again the passenger and rear vents blow high heat no matter what the setting. As a result, we either have to turn all the air off or switch every vent off except the driver side when we want AC. What could be causing this?

How to test blend door actuator, climate control, heater?

In some cases you can manually test the blend door actuator in others you can use computer for the diagnostics. There are usually a few blend door actuators that are part of the hvac system. This way you will know which blend door is bad and needs to be replaced. ► Like Us on FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/worldmechani…
