Why do my rpms go up when I go down a hill?
Why do my rpms go up when I go down a hill?
The power usually flows from the engine to the road. But if the engine stops putting down power while staying in gear, the road becomes the new “source” of power meaning that your momentum is what is driving the engine, not the fuel. So your RPMS increase the more incline you are engine braking down.
Is 1500 RPM too low?
High RPM will not burn as much fuel as you may guess. Engine friction and air constriction are greatly reduced in a modern engine, so 4000 RPM won’t burn that much more fuel than 2000 RPM. So, 1500-2000 RPM at a steady speed on the flat is probably fine.
What should the idle RPM be on a car?

Somewhere the fuel drop then suddenly rpm decrease better check the complete fuel system from tank to injectors also check the rpm sensor . Was this answer helpful? This could possibly be your output speed sensor, related to the transmission.
Why does my car lose power going uphill?
Reasons Your Car Loses Power Going Uphill 1) Bad Fuel Filter. You can’t have a good working engine without fresh pure gasoline flowing into it at all times. If you don’t have a good fuel filter to prevent the impurities of the fuel from flowing into the engine, then it could ultimately jeopardize the performance of your engine.
