When does the overdrive off light start flashing?
The overdrive off light on the gear selector lever where the overdrive off button is located starts flashing when my truck gets up to 30-40 mph. Shifting is normal the overdrive off button works fine when I push it it goes to 3rd gear and or out of overdrive and the rpms increase as usual.

A transmission sensor signals the engine computer the actual speed certain parts of the transmission are spinning at. If the sensor fails, the same thing can happed. The computer does not know what the transmission is doing and will cause the light to flash.
