How to install tailgate hinge on 2003 GMC Sierra?
Use blue thread locker and tighten down to at least 30 ft lbs. Also, do not reuse the shims that are behind the OEM hinges. Even though these hinge plates are the same thickness as the old ones, the new hinge stud itself sticks out further which eliminates the need for the shim. Perfect fit on 2003 GMC Sierra, easy install.
