Called the ford dealership (Worthington Ford in Long Beach) to see if they had it in stock and the parts guy knew the part # off the top of his head…. and they had it in stock. I’m thinking these have been an issue for Ford. $20 and easy to replace, so not a big deal.

The blend door actuator (bda) and the circulation actuator are the same part number. You can find it tucked away on the left after you’ve dropped the glove box. The original bda is all black. The replacement will be black and white like the circulation actuator.

It was making a clicking/knocking sound. 17.00 dollars at Ford and 3 minutes of installation at home. Thank you…so simple. 200.00+- at the dealer to do it.

2011 Limited EB – White Platinum Tri-coat/Med Lt Stone (traded in!) NC, thanks for the tip and the pic. I’ll have to check that out. I was wondering why that white motor didn’t work like the actuator should. I could move it with a screwdriver but the air temp didn’t change. Your description fits perfectly. I’ll give it a shot tomorrow and update.
