That’s the mid-PTO output stub shaft on the right, below the trans filter. The neutral switch is just to the left of the mid-PTO stub shaft. You can see a red wire going into it.
Where is the serial number on a case 970?
As you can see its been painted white, but it obviously use to be a brown/tan color. The early 970’s were painted Desert Sand and Flambeau . Think it was when Tennaco bought Case that they switched to Power White and Power Red. I believe the serial number is located inside the cab by the clutch pedal.
