Where is the lock cylinder on a Ford F150?
I pulled the door apart and the lock cylinder was in the bottom of the door and the key still worked. I got it reinstalled in the door handle, but the link from the lock cylinder to the door latch had fallen to the bottom of the door. I know how it attaches to the key lock part, but cant figure out how it connects on the bottom to the latch.
How long does it take to change ignition lock on 1993 F150?
With this kit I quickly replaced the ignition lock, and both door locks, on my 1993 Ford F150 XLT Supercab. After four months all locks and keys are working great. Easy to install, smooth operation, good quality. Door locks snapped off when installing.
Can a remote unlock a Ford F150 door?
Last edited by blupupher; 11-22-2015 at 10:57 PM. Keys work, door handles work, manually working the lock studs work. The actuator makes noise but does not lock or unlock the door. The remote even triggers the actuators, but the actuators aren’t locking or unlocking the doors.
