I have a 2007 Chrysler town and country I’m having the crankshaft position sensor replaced but the mechanics at Fletcher’s can’t find where the part is!! They say it’s supposed to be in the back but it’s not some forms say it’s up from does anyone have any idea.

Find the crankshaft position sensor. On some models, you will be able to find the sensor hidden somewhere around the starter motor. Other engine models might have the sensor closer to the transmission. Remember that only the top of the sensor’s body, where the electrical connector plugs into, will be visible.

Where is the crank shaft position sensor located?

This sensor is located on the transmission bell housing just behind the engine and underneath the cross over exhaust pipe. A faulty crank shaft position sensor can cause a not start or stall. It can also cause random misfires.
