Open the door and notice on the left side of the round housing there are either two screws or two rivets side (one above and one below the door hinge). Remove the screws if you have them. Otherwise, use the 17/64” drill bit to drill out the rivets. You need to be careful and go slowly to ensure that you do not damage the paint will drilling.

Remove the three screws holding the plunger housing to the back of the face plate. Then, remove the P1 plunger and the spring. Apply Vaseline or similar lubricant to the P2 plunger. Insert the spring in the rear hole of the plunger and place them inside the plunger housing with the plunger notch point up (see pictures above).

Use the (2) 10-24 x ¾” Phillips head screws to attach the hinge to your vehicle. The next step is to ensure the door plate is level and is centered inside the opening.
