In August 2007 the car wouldn’t start so husband bought a 75 month battery, no problems. This last Thursday the car starts up fine all day, until I’m on a busy street and start to head home. We were able to jump start it, left it running for over an hour, drove a half hour home, shut it off, battery was deader than a doornail.

Short of just getting rid of it, it really has been a good car. My wife’s mom bought her a 2004 Chevy Impala back in 2005. It worked great for a year and then the entire instrument cluster on the dashboard went out. Speedometer, tachometer, and heat gauges all started showing random values and eventually went dead.

If a recall is not issued soon I will never get another impala. I’ve owned a 2002 and 2004. Never again if Chevy doesn’t take some responsibility and issue a recall. Intermittently the car will not start. The car has a security light on. This car does NOT have a chip in the key. Unpredictable, nothing happens when the key is turned.
