I have a 2011 Malibu LS that I purchased new in September of 2011. On Saturday, Sept. 14 I brought it in for it’s annual NY state inspection. The car runs fine and there are no error codes or visible problems. It passed inspection without any problem in 2012.

@Ken, on page 8-8 of the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu owner’s manual it reads that the Roadside Assistance program is provided for up to 5 years or 100,000 miles whichever happens first. I recommend contacting them and having the vehicle towed. This might be something covered under the Powertrain warranty.

Both incidents it seems to have been the first sub-freezing temps of the season. This was certainly the case last night and I am pretty sure it was the case previously. Turning key to run position and letting sit for 10-15 minutes, then to off letting sit for 5 minutes.
