Is the Ford Focus 1.8tdci wet belt?
From what I know the current 2003 model I have now does not have a wet belt setup and just has the timing belt setup. Would I be right in saying that a 2009 Zetec focus with the 1.8tdci engine has both the wet belt and timing belt setup.

The VDO injector problem seems to be centered on 2008, but may extend into 2009. It seems to have happened after Siemens sold the VDO operation to Continental AG. Likely the knowhow to make these incredibly finely engineered piezo-electric valves did not really transfer well with the sale.

Why is my Ford Focus hard to start?
Stumbled on this solution after going down the more powerful battery route, hich presumably compensates for the less efficient starter motor. The glowplug light on the dash illuminates for a millisecond and goes out. Have to operate key several times. Have to crank engine for several seconds.

Is there DTC’s stored in Ford Focus?
No DTC s stored and live data showing good pressure generation. Checking amps on the injector harness confirmed commencement of injection too.
