Confirmed – #3 cylinder head has a 70% leak. Per TSB – replace cylinder head. Parts ordered. Will take 3 weeks to get. 15 other H3’s ahead of me for replacement on head. Install Cylinder Head from February visit. Traction control can be turned on and off on vehicle.

What should I change the oil on a Hummer H3?
I made it home checked the oil’ which read low, so I changed the oil, over 5 quarts removed, it only requires 6 qts max, and I replaced it with 5 quarts of full synthetic, with bg cleaners. Initially it started, idled, and ran better but after 30 minutes the engine knocks resumed.
