The Ford 302 was a Windsor small-block, 90-degree, V8 engine. The thin-wall block engine uses high-flow aluminum cylinder heads. It was developed in 1968 from the Ford 289 by shortening its connecting rods for a 3.0-inch stroke. Both fuel injected and carbureted 302s have two valves per cylinder head.
