A firestop or fire-stopping is a form of passive fire protection that is used to seal around openings and between joints in a fire-resistance-rated wall or floor assembly. Firestops are designed to maintain the fire-resistance rating of a wall or floor assembly intended to impede the spread of fire and smoke.
Where are firestop sealants used?
It is used to seal both through-penetration firestop systems and joint systems. Other uses include sealing a cable tray, bottom of a wall, busway, blank opening, floor to floor, floor to wall, head of wall, metal pipe, multiple penetrations, and wall to wall.

Tool within five minutes. Clean all tools immediately after use with water.
