Where is the fuel pump control unit located?
Depending on the vehicle, the fuel pump control unit must be taught in the engine control unit. To improve the start behaviour, the fuel pump is often triggered for a few seconds when the driver door is opened, causing pressure to build up in the fuel system – even though the ignition is still switched off.
Where is the fuel pump control module located?
The fuel pump control module is responsible for supply and regulation of voltage to the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump. In most cases, the fuel pump controller is integrated into the PCM but it may also be a stand-alone module. The fuel pump provides pressurized fuel for the fuel injection system. It is most often located inside the fuel tank.
