Sometimes it will turn off, most of the time they wont. I have replaced the light switch, the ignition switch and battery, with no luck.
Why does my red battery light keep coming on?
Found out my problem, apparently my shift lever has a spring that has went out, so when i put it in park the digital gear reader isnt circled like it should be, cut key off and the light comes on, if i push the lever back and then cut key off the light doesnt come on, anyone know if you can replace this spring? Why does the battery light stay on when the car is off?
Although the light did turn off after I started it up, I turned the key off and removed it. Battery light remained on as well as the odometer. I started asking around and the people I spoke with seemed to think it was my alternator. So I took it on my own judgement to go purchase a new one in hopes that it would work.
