Re: LOW ROUGH IDLE, Sometimes dies! Costs around 50 to 60 bucks and takes about 5 minutes to replace. You can try cleaning it out but I would recommend replacing it. Its on the air intake right at the top of the motor. It has two bolts holding it on. I just replaced mine on my 07 3.0 with only 38k miles on it.

The code was p0316 which indicates too many misfires after startup and code p0304 which is cylinder number 4 misfire. Needless to say I had drivers behind me honking and flashing lights but the truck just wouldn’t go over about 5 mph until I was down the road a bit.
