For many visitors, Graceland alone is enough reason to make the trip to Memphis, and I can appreciate that because it is a really good attraction and very well run.

Many people often wonder if you can drive by Graceland or see it from the road. You can, but it’s hidden behind the gate, and it sits back from the road a bit, so you won’t see much just from driving by. You’re better off parking and walking over the front gate.

Personally I think at least 3 days are needed for Memphis but it’s based on what you want to do & see. Graceland will take most of your day then you have the Civil Rights Museum which will take at least a few hours followed by the other Music museums which could take a couple of hours each.
