Move handle out and slide the FOB key into the slot and push up. The back plastic piece will come off onto the FOB key. Under it is a lock for a key. At least on my 2011 Golf. Not sure if the 2013 Passat has this feature.

Where is the head rest adjustment button on a focus?

Adjustment button (for the passenger’s head rest) is on the left hand side post but on the right hand side post, facing the window is a little flush mount button. Push this button in using a pen tip while the head rest is extended as far as it can go. Doing this from the rear seat is always better!

Do you have to replace front headrests on a CLK?

If you look at older pre 1997’s the seats are tight, no “butt” sags. The CLK and others use covers that are foam backed and have the pads sewn in – so you have to replace the cover – which is $$$$. The lower foam portion wears out and you can replace it as a separate part.

How are headrests held in place in a car?

Maybe not. Most headrests have notches on one side only to allow the headrest to be adjusted and to keep it in place during a crash. If the headrest is flipped around, the notches no longer line up and the headrest is held in place by friction only. Will it hold in a crash? Perhaps. In a rollover? Who knows?

Can a car seat be placed forward facing without a headrest?

Renee, yes you can, though I recommend calling Diono if you want to place a Diono carseat forward-facing on a vehicle seat without a headrest. The vehicle seat back shouldn’t have any bearing on a rear-facing installation. Comment for Ron on item #9. I have neck problems and did not like the forward feel of the front seat headrests.
