Is there a radio amplifier on my Silverado?
I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS Z71. I installed this unit ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-DVD-CD-Playe…) and everything works except the radio looks just like the screen shown in the video, but no sound and it will not allow me to change the stations…
Where is the AMP on a Chevy truck?

Re: Where’s the amp ??? It should be under the center console near the sub. Don’t qoute me thats where it was on my 05 2500.

Other than the Tahoe Limited Edition, the vehicle was redesigned for the 2000 model year on the new GMT800 platform, still shared with the full-sized pickups and SUV’s. Location of radio amplifier? My amp keeps cutting out, shuting off the sound.

Where are the speakers on a Chevy Silverado?
You’ll find 4″x6″ speakers in the rear doors in this extended cab Silverado or Sierra, or if you have the Bose system, a round speaker in a 4″x6″ bracket. Once you’ve used a panel tool to remove the door panels to get these speakers, they’re extremely easy to take out, thanks to their clip-in plates.
Where is the factory AMP on a jeep?
Nothing in there looks like an amp though! Factory amp is on driver’s side rear wheel well panel in cargo space opposite sub. Ty. Did your installer mount the lc6i in there I’d imagine then. Is there a way to increase power from factory amp? I asked this same question, i don’ think i got and answer.
Can a factory amp be replaced with an aftermarket AMP?
You want to know if you can increase it form say 50 watts to 100 watts and the only way you can do that is by replacing the amp with an aftermarket amp which will lead to building an entire audio system. Thats still a shorter answer than it could be
