Shown here is the seat adjustment switch for the Mercedes Benz W210 chassis. The switch itself is a known failure item due to problems with the solder joints on the circuit board. In this article, we will go over the steps with removing, testing and attempting to repair the switch.

To repair the switch, you’ll need to need to remove the circuit board from inside the switch housing. Begin by prying the back cover off the switch. This is done by placing a small flat head screwdriver into the slots shown here (green arrows).
