Is the power reverser on my green tractor working?

I’m having a similar problem with my 5055E JD with power reverser. The problem occurs intermittently and is getting progressive more and more frequent.

Is there a seat switch on a tractor?

Tractor has a 1000 hrs on it. Does your tractor have a seat switch? A lot of equipment will flash the N for neutral if it sees a request to move (put in gear) without seeing a good seat switch connection. I went to the tractor and tried to see what I could find. I don’t think it is the seat switch.

Why is my reverser not working on my Tractor?

This can happen when changing from forward to reverse or reverse to forward. After some combination of engaging and disengaging the clutch and changing the position of the reverser lever, the lights go out and the tractor responds normally.

Why does my transmission kick out of gear?

If it has too low of pressure, it is supposed to kick out of gear, to prevent damage to the cutch pack from slipping due to the low pressure. Since it sounds like it is worse when you first start up, I doulbt this is the problem, unless you have a very plugged hydraulic filter. It could be a transmission pressure sensor.

When does the traction control light come on?

If there is a problem with the traction control system that hinders its ability to work effectively, the traction control light will remain illuminated indefinitely. If the traction control light does come on, it will usually do so while you’re accelerating.
