Full bodied with a soft and chewy texture that makes for a nice drinking experience. Aberfeldy 12 is tasty stuff. The deep fruity nose compliments the oak and fruit palate that continues nicely through the finish. I’m really enjoying sitting in my recliner with my dog on my legs, laptop on my lap and this in my mouth.

Combine the Aberfeldy 12 Year Old, honey syrup, Orange and Angustura Bitters in the bottom of an Old Fashioned glass. Add a block of ice. Stir around 15-20 times until perfectly diluted, chilled and mixed. Squeeze oils from the orange peel in to the drink and around the glass, twist and use as a garnish on the top.

Palate: Sweet, malty, a gentle peat but nonetheless the mouth feel is very clean. Vanilla, peaches in cream and subtle oak. Finish: Ginger, malt, nutty nougat and maybe a little grapefruit zest.
