On craigslist is is common to see these rebuilt for $700 with a core transmission. From all of my research these transmissions usually have other issues, like worn seals, blown gaskets, etc.

Is the GM 4T65E transmission a recall?
The GM 4T65E transmission is a joke and they are still using it on the new cars. Each every time friends asking me which car to buy i always say DO NOT BUY GM sh*t. The forward band broken is very common in the GM 4T65E transmission and never been categorized as recall.
