I ran a ‘+’ supply (car battery) to the + terminal on the pump and it started buzzing, so at least I know the pump and the earth is OK (as that was still attached.) The thing is the pump will continue to ‘pump’ all the while the + was connected.

Click to expand… There is no electric fuel pump in the fuel tank, the only fuel pump is the one bolted to the engine and this is what pulls the fuel up from the tank so if your AA man disconnects fuel pipes and cranks the engine expecting fuel to flow then he`s in for a very long wait as it will never happen with the pipes disconnected.

Air flow sensor & its electric supply connection both are ok. 4. Fuel pump fuse in fuse box is fine.

The AA man removed the back seat & did the final trick by banging over the Fuel Pump & asked me to start the engine at the same time, but again the result was same, then he advised to change the Fuel pump & went on his way. Everything is closed now Garages & auto mobile shops for few days. a. Is it the Fuel Pump which is not functional? OR b.
