- Turn ignition switch to ON position with engine off.
- Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds of turning key.
- Change Oil lamp will flash for 2-10 seconds while it resets.
- Once it stops flashing, the maintenance light reset is complete.

Only way to stop it was to stop and restart the motor. Shift into neutral, then push one of the 4WD buttons, then the 2WD button, which you could then hear and feel the transfer case shift back to 2WD. Then it would drive fine until the next time it would do it. About every 50 to 100 miles it does this.
