How do you remove the seats from a Ford Explorer?

Open the doors and unbolt the front seats using a combination of the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket and open-end wrench set depending on access. It may be easier to access some bolts with a wrench as opposed to a ratchet, depending on your arm length. Lean the seat forward and disconnect the wiring that connects to the bottom of the seat.

When I unplug that one on the passenger seat, it stops moving forward or backword. The motor on the driver side seat that isn’t working gets hot to the touch too after I try using it a couple times. I’m going to try taking it out now and see if I can do something with it.
