Follow these easy steps to fix a blown fuse:

  1. Unplug electrical appliances. First and foremost, it’s important to identify where the outage occurred.
  2. Turn the power off. Next, you will need to turn off the main power to the fuse box.
  3. Find the fuse box.
  4. Identify the broken fuse.
  5. Replace the fuse.
  6. Test your new setup.

You can take the blown fuse to a hardware or home store for help in getting an exact replacement. Consider keeping extra fuses on hand so you’ll have them when you need them. Screw the new fuse into the same electrical panel socket.
