Out of nowhere my ranger edge started one day and immediately bogged and shut down. A turn of the key and nothing. Tried jumping, no dice. Replaced fuel filter, no dice. After sitting for 48 hours it would start, this happened twice exactly 2 weeks apart. On the third failure, that is when i replaced the fuel filter in the auto-zone parking lot.

I should not have to pay for new engine or new vehicle, when my 2004 Ranger has low mileage and has been well maintained the whole time that I have had it. It is the 3.0 vulcan engine. Please help. If I left the engine idle more than two minutes it would not pass the state emissions test.
