There are two species of dwarf hairgrass, Eleocharis parvula and Eleocharis acicularis. It’s a freshwater plant from the Cyperaceae family. As an undemanding aquatic plant, it’s popular in the fishkeeping industry. It has very basic needs, requiring just light, nutrients, and CO2.

How do you plant Eleocharis Belem?

To plant, simply separate this aquarium plant into small portions and plant each portion an inch or so apart halfway into the aquarium substrate. Once established, regular trimming will be required as once it sends runners out, Eleocharis Belem grows quickly.
