Why are the cranks on my F-150 not working?

After some trouble shooting we found a bad connection on the fuel pump fuse and installed a new fuse and things worked fine. A couple days ago it happened again, we checked the fuse it was good replaced the relay still cranks no start. Replaced both the fuel pump driver module and fuel pump still wont start.

Why does my 2010 F150 not start up?

I just had this happen to my 2010 F150 5.4L. The #27 fuse was fine. The fuel pump module was fine. It would crank and start, then it would immediately die. No check engine light came up, just the Oil Pressure light followed by a brief alarm. I disconnected the negative battery cable. Turned the ignition to the “ON” position and left it there.

Can a Ford F-150 start with no fuel?

Sound like it is a new fuel pump, and it does prime up…and the motor will run with starting fluid for a bit. Yes I would check fuel pump pressure and do a bleed down test to see if it holds pressure, I don’t know what the pressure should be on a Ford, but the pressure should not drop more that 5lbs and hold for at least 3 to 5 min.

What’s the problem with my 2014 Ford F150?

My 2014 f150 will crank but won’t start. The steering to press down. Truly at a loss as to what the issue may be. Any help would be appreciated. Also, the power seems to be working fine with all electrical inside cab. Isn’t your truck under warranty? I would take it straight to your Ford Dealer and let them fix it. 7 people found this helpful.

Premature failure is often caused by the gas tank in the F-150 not being more than 1/2 full or running the engine on a mostly empty tank. If the fuel pickup is not fully submerged in gasoline, it can be especially hard on the fuel pump, causing it to burn out as it draws in air and gasoline,…

The fuel pump driver module, frame mounted above the rear tire, needs to be checked before you dive in to dropping the fuel tank, or lifting off the bed. There are a lot of other great video’s out there on these trucks, I’m hoping this can help someone out. http://www.rowellenterprises.org/it-m… Loading…

Remove the fuse for the fuel pump. Use the diagram on the underside of the fuse panel cover to locate the fuse for the fuel pump. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage.

What does it mean when your fuel pump does not prime?

Listen for the fuel pump to prime. You should hear a slight humming sound while this happens. It will only last for a second or two and you have to listen very carefully. If the fuel pump does not prime and the fuel pump is getting power (the fuse for the pump is not blown), then the fuel pump is likely malfunctioning or it has failed.
