Do you need to replace fuel pump in 2005 Chevy Colorado?

I have never needed to replace a fuel pump in a 2005 Colorado, but if the lock ring is anything like a Chevy Blazer tank, between my daughter and I we have replaced 8 Blazer pumps in multiple vehicles over the years. The last one was just last week on a 1998 model. I looked on Rock Auto and the fuel pump assembly looks identical to a Blazer.
