How many amps do HID lights draw?

From a cold start, both 50/55 watt HID kits draw significant current, over 10 amps for almost 250ms. This is not long enough to blow a 7.5 amp fuse.

Why are my bi-xenon HID low beams not working?

2. My HID Bi-Xenon high beams or low beams are not working or are inverted. This is a similar issue as above, the polarity of the connector’s pins are not correctly aligned. Bi-Xenon HID kits have 3 pins on the harness connector for ground, low beam and high beam connections. You will need to release the pins inside the connector and reorder them.

Can you wire a low beam to a high beam?

You’ll use your H4 headlight plug as a trigger source for the relay. What you can do is put a diode on the high beam (so low beam doesn’t energise the high beam circuit) and wire it up with the low beam. That way, your low beam will stay on when you high beam. You’ll use your high beam to activate the high beam solenoid.
