Just like a traditional SIM card, an eSIM stores the data your device needs to use the EE network. But, where you insert a SIM card into your device, an eSIM is downloaded directly on to your device. If your iPhone has Dual SIM you can: Have two phone numbers and two different plans on one iPhone.
Can I put my EE SIM in a new phone?
If you’re already an EE customer and you’re upgrading, we won’t need to send you a new SIM. We’ll just automatically update your old one instead.
Can I use both eSIM and physical SIM?
eSIM and SIM can be used in parallel on the same device. This means that at the same time a physical card and one of the numbers on eSIM will work. So you can, for example, use one number on the phone and smartwatch.
Does EE pay as you go expire?
When does credit expire on EE PAYG? Top up credit on EE will never expire so long as you use some of it at least every 270 days. Packs, which you buy with top-up, are bundles of data, minutes and texts you buy with your top-up – these will always expire in 30 days.
What happens if I don’t use my pay as you go phone?
6.3 You must make a Connection Action at least once every 180 days. If You do not, Your SIM Card will be disconnected from the Network and You will not be able to use the Services. You will lose Your mobile phone number and any Credit on Your Account at the time of such disconnection will be forfeited.

If you don’t use your device for 90 days, we’ll suspend your recurring top-up until you use your device again. If you don’t use your device at least once every 180 days, it will be disconnected: your number and any credit on your account will be stopped.
What’s the difference between pay as you go and SIM only?
There are two types of SIM only deals – Pay monthly and Pay as you go. The main difference between them is that a Pay monthly SIM only deal includes an allowance for calls, texts and data which you’ll be billed for every 30 days. A Pay as you go SIM only deal requires you to top up with credit.
