Replace original F53 engine cooling system radiator with one that has the transmission cooler in it. This would only impact the early model F53 (1999 – 2000). I priced radiators on Rock Auto. They had a Spectra Premium, 2 row, with the transmission cooler heat ex-changer for $130 (model CU2171) .

How much does it cost to trans a Ford E4OD?
If you want to help your E4OD get a reputable trans. shop to recommend and install a valve body kit (shift kit) such as a sonnex. These trans. are very expensive $2500.-3000. to replace with oem and double that for an extreme duty unit.
