What’s the problem with my Chevy Silverado 1500?

I have put a new alternator, ignition solenoid, ignition switch, and also switched the instrument cluster out to see if that was the problem (local gm service said that was the issue…didn’t work). Also, from time to time, my transmission wont shift correctly.

What happens if the thermostat is stuck on a Chevy Silverado?

A stuck thermostat that remains closed will prevent coolant from reaching the radiator, causing the engine to overheat rapidly. Read on if your Silverado’s thermostat is no longer functioning.
