Why is there oil on my engine?

Why is there oil on my engine?

Pressure from the engine can put stress on the oil filler cap, causing oil to leak out, if the cap is broken, loose, or even missing. The most common site of leaking oil in automobiles is the valve cover gasket. When the gasket is unable to function properly, oil leaks often occur.

What kind of power does a 7.8 Isuzu have?

No idea. We have 2 C7500’s with the auto. The 7.8 is a gutless wonder so don’t expect much power. They have both had injectors and one has had a head gasket. We use them as directional drill trucks. They have a 1000 gallon mud tank on them and pull a 24′ Trail King trailer with a 30000 pound drill on it.

Is the Isuzu 7500 a Cummins or cat?

If the 7500 had a Cat or Cummins in it we would be happy. They are sized just right for our needs. Just extremely under powered. The running gear, frame, brakes have all been problem free. The truck does not have enough power to hurt the tranny. The cab is the same as the Kodiak, so you will have the same rattles and quirks.

What kind of engine does a 6500 Isuzu have?

The company I work for is looking at a 2006 6500 truck with a 7.8 ISUZU and an auto tranny. Any one know of any problems with these engines? It has 68,000 miles on it and ISUZU has a great reputation, but I have never been around these so any input from people who run or own them would be great.

How often should I add oil to my Chevy 8.1 Vortec?

Unlike newer Chevy’s with AFM, the oil consumption on the 8.1 vortec is really less troublesome or problematic. While this isn’t necessarily an “issue” I just wanted to point it out for any prospective owners out there. Most 8.1 owners report needing to add 1qt of oil in between oil changes, so somewhere between every 2,500 and 5,000 miles.
