There is supposedly a shortcut to the core replacement that involves uncrimping the metal lines at the core. The core can them be removed without tearing apart the dash. A similar approach on RAM pickups involves cutting the metal lines and then using rubber hose to reconnect things after you get the replacement core in.

there is only one thermostat on your car. what you probably have is split temp control one to set temp for the passenger side and one for the drivers side. if so then the temp control door on the passenger side is probably not functioning properly. take it to a shop to have fixed.

No heat issue on driver’s side of 2012 Jeep liberty, both hoses on the heater core inlet and outlet are hot. I discovered that the blower housing in behind the glove box has air filters known as compartment air filters. There are two of these filters in the compartment access door.

Something does not make sense. If you have airflow out of the ducts, as in the drivers side foot well, defrost, and dash, then it is not clogged.
