Why is the light blinking on my Ford PowerStroke?

In April I towed a 34′ trailer to Talladega and noticed the light blinking. No towing issues at all. A few days ago on the way home from work, it was holding out longer (RPM’s) before shifiting into OD. Last night on the way to a dinner, it popped right out of OD and would not pull in any gear (even reverse).
