Why is the left plug on my Ford truck not working?

Why is the left plug on my Ford truck not working?

The plug on the left is covered in deposits and will not work as well as the new plug on the left. Compression is vital in an engine since it raises the pressure of the air/fuel mixture high enough for a spark to start the combustion process. Engine cylinders with low compression due to wear and tear will misfire under load.

What should I do if my spark plug is misfiring?

I suggest first removing and checking the spark plug and swap in a new one or swap with cylinder next to it. This way the misfire moves to other cylinder then you know it was plug and replace it. If misfire still on number one then check for spark and injector pulse and replace injector or coil as needed. Was this answer helpful?

While it won’t damage your motor if you don’t replace them, over time you can develop a misfire, which can damage your catalytic converters. Although it’s cheaper to replace spark plugs on your own, it requires experience and skill and can be moderately difficult to get the job done.

What should I do after replacing coils and spark plugs?

The code P0353 on this after you only had misfire codes and you changed the coil and plugs on cylinder number 3. You should disconnect cylinder coil and check connector and pins in coil are not damaged and if they are okay then try to install another coil to see if you got a bad new coil. How do you replace a spark plug in a Ford Flex?

Push a new spark plug into the spark plug socket. The socket should have a rubber insert or a strong magnet to securely hold the plug in place. Carefully lower the new spark plug down into the well. Spin in the spark plug a few turns by hand in the clockwise direction to prevent it from becoming cross threaded.
