What’s the ground clearance on a Ford Ranger?
Ready for adventure, its approach and departure angles help it climb hills and clear obstacles. Ranger 4×4 models also boast 8.9 inches of ground clearance for more capable navigation on uneven territory, while Ranger models equipped with the new Tremor Off-Road Package* deliver an even more impressive 9.7 inches of ground clearance.
What kind of traction does a Ford Ranger get?
Choose Normal, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Ruts or Sand. The system is designed to provide optimum traction, driveability and performance. When activated, the electronic-locking rear differential locks the axle completely at both wheels simultaneously, delivering the traction you need off-road when you need it the most.
How much torque does a Ford Ranger have?
Raw torque rules when you’re powering up, over and through rugged all-terrain conditions. And the new Ford Ranger with its potent 2.3L EcoBoost® and class-exclusive 10-speed transmission beats other gas-powered pickups in its class with a torque rating of 310 lb.-ft. * *Class is Midsize Pickups.

How long does it take to change a V-8 in a Ford Ranger?
The average conversion time on most vehicles is 50-70 hours. The cost varies depending on what parts you use. Engine’s Covered 302/351W: It is recommended that you use the 5.0L (302) V-8 for your conversion. It is possible to install the 5.8L (351W) especially with a body lift, but the 5.8L is taller and a little wider than a 5.0L (302).
What kind of Ignition do you need for a V-8 Ford Ranger?
For a V-8 swap using a carburetor, I recommend using an early to mid 1970’s Duraspark II ignition. Try to find a V-8 from this era with the distributor and ignition still intact. It has a wiring harness that goes from the module on the wheel well to the distributor, and the original power harness from the Ranger should plug right into it.
Why does my Ford Ranger crank no start?

Can a bad ignition module cause a misfire?
The ignition module has failed. Misfire due to a bad ignition module. Since the ICM isn’t cheap and replacing the crank sensor is labor intensive (you’ve got to remove the timing belt), testing the ICM and crank sensor, on your 2.3L Ford Ranger or Mustang (or B2300), becomes a must!
Why is the crank sensor on my Ford Ranger not working?
Without voltage, in this wire, the ignition control module, the crankshaft position sensor and both coil packs won’t work. Restoring Power to this circuit should solve your no-spark no-start condition on your 2.3L Ford Mustang or 2.3L Ford Ranger (2.3L Mazda B2300).

Why does my fuel pump not start when I change it?
You always want to replace the fuel filter when replacing the fuel pump. This could cause the concern you are having. It may seem as you are getting enough fuel from the pressure regulator but if the pressure from the fuel tank is not correct, it will still not start. Another problem you could be having is spark.
