One of the most common problems found on a no start service call is that the propane tank fitting is improperly fitted to the LP fuel supply hose. The cause is often that when the operator changes the LP tank the sealing ring that is in the tank fitting becomes dislodged or breaks.
Are there ignition problems in a 1970 Yale forklift?
To this day, that forklift starts and runs well on all 6 cylinders in all weather and temperature conditions. Never has had any further ignition system maintenance done on it. In the near future, I will do the same for the Slant Six in this 1970 Yale that has been discussed in this thread, and thus will end it’s ignition problems as well.

A “fuel” problem on an LP forklift (slant 6) got the best of me for several days till I finally figured out it was the Accel super duper coil I installed about 4 weeks prior, so it’d have a nice hot spark……yea right…..pile of junk.

If you do not have voltage at this point check the ignition circuit thru the ignition switch, fuses, and wire harness connections. If you have voltage at the positive post of coil move your test probe to the negative side of the coil. Now crank the engine over. You should see your test light blink on and off as the engine turns over.

The Regulator From the tank, liquid propane flows into the forklift’s fuel regulator, first reaching the fuel filter. There, it’s stripped of any contaminants. After that, the fuel goes into the regulator.
