So yesterday, my Driver side door handle sensors for lock and unlock stopped working. I could walk around to the passenger side and they worked just fine. Later on, they worked 50% of the time you tried.

Ford in its infinite wisdom makes you purchase the whole handle with the sensor. The handle comes only primed. All four of my handles have been great ever since. It’s either going to be the sensor in the handle or the module in the door. I got lucky I guess.

Why is my garage door lock not working?
Now, it hasn’t worked for almost 8 days in a row. Yet, when the vehicle is in the garage and warm and dry, the intelligent access feature works like it should. So, apparently they are applying a TSB for this known issue. It has something to do with dirty sensors within the door handles or something like .

Refer to WSM, Section 501-14. Using a Torx T6 screwdriver, carefully remove the two (2) screws, and remove the front door antenna, and door locking sensor assembly. (Figures 1 and 2)
