Why is heat blowing out of passenger side vents?

Why is heat blowing out of passenger side vents?

I’m getting heat blowing out of the driver’s side vents, but not passenger side. Recently, I changed out a bad blend door actuator. When I installed it, I didn’t put the new one in the exact right position (installed at the 11:00 position, then turned it to align with the mounting screws). Could that be the reason?

Why does heat only come out of drivers side?

We had a cold day down to 5 deg and I noticed it was not even close to as warm as it used to be the prior winter. What is happening is heat is coming out of the drivers side but cold air is blowing out of the passengers. This is the same if it’s on floor, dash vent or defrost.

Can a IIRC heater only heat on the driver side?

IIRC it only heats air in the drivers side, so if the heater core is not functioning and letting hot water through, it would prevent it from providing the normal heat and the cold incoming air would be blown out all vent that are upstream of the electric heater. I to have this problem. Manual hvac controls.

Why are there No vents on the passenger side of a Dodge Avenger?

The angle that the heater core is mounted in the HVAC box inside the dashboard is the culprit. It can flow heat to the drivers side but not allow coolant to go thru the whole heater core where the air vents for the passenger side draws heated air from. By the design, there is no other explanation IF you have good heat on the drivers side.

Are there vents on the passenger side that blow cold air?

However, if I fiddle around with the temperature control I can get the vents on the passenger’s side to blow warm air. Turn dial all the way to cold, passenger and driver vents blow cold air (expected) – turn dial all the way to hot, passenger side blowing out the same cold air but driver’s side blowing extremely hot air.

Why is there no heat on the passenger side?

If having your heater core replaced, since they already have the front of the car gutted out to the tune of about $550-800 in disassemble/reassemble labor, might as well pay the extra $300-550 for new boxes while they’re at it. This is the reason why you have no heat on the passengers side.

Where does the heat come from on the drivers side of the car?

It can flow heat to the drivers side but not allow coolant to go thru the whole heater core where the air vents for the passenger side draws heated air from. By the design, there is no other explanation IF you have good heat on the drivers side.

Why are the vents on my Dodge Avenger so hot?

Just in time for winter, all the vents on the passenger side of my 2012 avenger are blowing room temperature air. The driver side vents all blow nice and hot. What could be the issue? Thanks. Could be a few things. Our cars have issues with blend door actuators that control air flow in the HVAC system.
